When I began writing this series, it was an escape from reality for me. Covid was reigning over the world, our lives were on pause, I was making pennies at a job I wasn't sure would be mine much longer, I was afraid for my elderly family, and just as the pandemic hit, a tree fell into the roof of our home forcing us to live in a hotel because construction was severely delayed... I needed an escape.
